Hamilton Storage Technologies Hamilton Storage Technologies, Inc. provides automation solutions to customers in life science and clinical research. The company develops modular, scalable systems that automate sample storage, management and processing. This project consisted of four HD Blu-Ray videos, (one fully animated, and three using a mix of animation and video shot by Boston Digital Video). These were some of the most complex animated videos I've ever produced, and the Sample Access Manager (SAM) in particular is a perfect example of how powerful a 3D animation can be for a client. Innovative, proprietary technology was highlighted and explained in a visually rich manner, often for the first time for customers due to the impossibility of filming internal environments kept down to -80C! All four videos are now central to Hamilton's marketing efforts and have been shown at major tradeshows and presentations. "I appreciate all the hard work and effort you have given with these videos. Mechanology, Inc. Mechanology Inc. is a developer of core compressor and expander technologies for energy sensitive applications. Central to there innovative technology was the Toroidal Intersecting Vane Machine, a radical rethinking of what a compressor/expander could be. I helped plan and then create a compelling and educational animated movie around this new technology, helping their customers for the first time to visually understand this new concept. Even more, after using this work to commucincate to investors, the company was able to secure a new round of funding to bring this technology to market. My work for them continued with another significant animated video highlighting the features and engineering employed in their N-Series turbines. Both pieces continue to be featured on the company website as well as industry trade shows. "The images are spectacular."
Abbott is a global, broad-based health care company devoted to discovering new medicines, new technologies and new ways to manage health. Their products span the continuum of care, from nutritional products and laboratory diagnostics through medical devices and pharmaceutical therapies. As part of ongoing research and educational outreach to the broad medical community, Abbott wanted to develop a stand alone kiosk-based animated video focusing on emerging research around the importance of Vitamin D its connection to a range of vital systems in the human body. For this project (which was produced while working at Animation Technologies) I and a junior animator created a range of sequences from macro level illustrations to micro-level animations of DNA transcription, parathyroid regulation, and tissue absorbtion. Music and a voice-overs were incorporated. |
